To be honest, I was quite excited to delve into this chapter highlighting oxytocin’s role in maternal behaviour. I’m not an oxytocin (OT for short) researcher and rarely think of OT, but when it comes to motherhood, we all love to talk about OT, the ‘love hormone’, the reason we bond to our babies….but is it?
